Additional learning support

At Greenacre PS, we work together to plan and provide the right support for students with disability or additional learning and wellbeing needs, with input from parents, carers, staff, the Department of Education and outside agencies to make sure every child receives the help they need.

Learning and Support Model

The Learning Support model at Greenacre PS is a case management approach to addressing the needs of our most vulnerable students. These needs may be a combination of learning, attendance or wellbeing concerns.

The learning and support team at Greenacre PS is led and managed by the Deputy Principals. They meet on a need’s basis with the school counsellor and the Assistant Principal Curriculum and Instruction to plan, action and monitor interventions for students on the learning and support team caseload. Our learning and support team helps make sure every student gets the help they need at the right time. Some students need extra support to feel confident and do their best at school. We work closely with families to make support plans and adjustments  that suits each child’s needs.

Adjustments are planned with parents and carers. They are reviewed regularly and changed when needed.
